CONTEST RULES

Who can enter contests?

Any child under 18 years of age who is a legal resident of the United States is eligible to participate except children of employees of Montlick & Associates, P.C., its affiliates, advertising agencies, and immediate families of each. Contest is void where prohibited. Contests vary by age group.

How can kids enter the contest?

To enter, you must submit a parental consent/entry form. All entries will include the entrant's name, age, address, e-mail address and phone number. For college scholarship entrants, all winners will be required to submit a photograph for our use as described in the Entry/Parental Consent form at the end of this document.

How will the entries be judged?

Writing and artwork submissions will be judged for creativity, originality, knowledge of the topic and keeping with the theme of safety.

All submissions of written materials or artwork must be original work and with no assistance from adults or any other person. In order to be considered, an Entry Form/Parental Consent must accompany your submission.

Entries for college scholarships will be judged by HelpKeepKidsSafe.org based on the description of what the teen has done for the community or a person in the community. We reserve the right to request additional documentation and to inquire into the facts of what has been presented to us.

The evaluation of contest submissions, the decision to award or not award a prize or scholarship to any entrant, and the particular prize or amount of any scholarship awarded, shall be in the sole discretion of HelpKeepKidsSafe.org and its sponsor, Montlick & Associates, P.C.

More Details About Scholarship Contest:

HelpKeepKidsSafe.org and Montlick & Associates, P.C. want to reward teens who have done something wonderful for their community or for another person. It may be related to safety but it doesn't have to be. We need at least 2 letters that tell about the person and what it is he or she has done. Parents can submit the names of their children as long as there is also a letter from a non-family member describing what this teen has done. Teens can also submit their own names as long as a letter from an adult non-family member is included. We request the right to ask for additional documentation and, in our sole discretion, to conduct an investigation as the the authenticity of the facts submitted.

Scholarships awarded will be paid by a check payable to the school that the winner will be attending. This can include any recognized, licensed institution of higher learning such as a college, university or trade school. In the event that a winner already has a full college scholarship, then the money will be paid directly to the winner, but only upon our receiving documentation to our satisfaction that they have in fact both received a full scholarship and that they have actually commenced school at the time it is paid.

HelpKeepKidsSafe.org will award scholarships of $500-$5000, with the determination of who shall be a winner as well as the amount that a particular winner receives to be determined in the sole discretion of HelpKeepKidsSafe.org and its sponsor, Montlick & Associates, P.C. Winners will be required to submit photographs for possible future posting on the HelpKeepKidsSafe.org site and may be used by us, in our sole discretion, in any manner we see fit in connection with recognizing their achievement as well as in promoting the Help Keep Kids Safe® program or its sponsor, Montlick & Associates, P.C. at any time in the future, such as, by way of example, in any advertising or other promotion.

Prizes:

Prizes can include Help Keep Kids Safe® T-shirts, bicycles, bicycle helmets and other items that we may decide to provide as prizes from time to time. A gift certificate to a store of our choosing may be provided, in our sole discretion, - instead of the specific item, so that a winner can go into the store and pick out the one that they would like. Scholarship awards will range from $500 to $5000 per award.

Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes is permitted. HelpKeepKidsSafe.org reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should advertised prizes become unavailable. All taxes, if applicable, on prizes are winner's sole responsibility.

What is the deadline for entering?

The contests are ongoing, so there is presently no deadline for entering. Prizes will be awarded in our sole discretion when we feel we have enough applicants or in the case of scholarships when we feel we have someone who deserves to receive an award. We do reserve the right to discontinue a contest at any time by simply removing it from this web site.
